Remarks

Positive remarks: Several educational, technical, cultural and sports clubs Good transportation facilities Mandatory MOOC every semester which help during placements NAAC accredited Good locality around the college Additional training from 1st year for placements Negative remarks: Small campus Cleanliness and hygiene not upto mark On campus counsellor available only for one day a week

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum could be improved since there is no practical application of the acquired knowledge. There are 3 Internal Assessment Tests of 50 marks each. These marks would then be converted to 30 marks. 10 marks for assignments. The semester end exams are of 100 marks which would be reduced to 60 marks.

Placement Experience

4

Computer science, information science and Electronics and Communication have high placement percentages (90% ). There are additional training sessions provided by the college. The college doesn't provide internship but 4 weeks of internship is mandatory for all students. Companies: IBM, SAP labs, Delliotte, Capgemini, etc

College Events

4.5

There's a two day annual cultural fest called Cultura which typically takes place in the February-March. There are several technical events like Hackathon for different languages, coding ninjas, etc There are other events held by the respective clubs like readathon, workshops, marathons, etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

82000 per year via Karnataka Common Entrance Test 200000 per year via COMED-K 300000-600000 per year for management students. Additional fees for internal training programs which help during placements are imposed as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are quite a few scholarships which can be availed by any student if they fulfill the required criteria. There are additional amenities provided for women and Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe which proves helpful for their education.

Campus Life

3

There are several technical, cultural and sports clubs and there are 2 half days every week which would be dedicated to club activities and workshops. The lab facilities could be improved. The gender ratio would be 2:3. There are students hailing from a variety of states/countries. The tolerance is above average.

Alumni/Alumna

College alumni take part in organising/helping several workshops, seminars, club related activities, etc. Alumni are invited to give talks which would help the students to engage in extra curricular activities. There is zero tolerance towards ragging and the seniors are generally very friendly.

Admission

I got in thourough Karnataka Common Entrance Test. I chose ISE because I'm passionate about programming languages, big data, Internet of things and could computing. There was no formal interview but there was an intensive induction program.

Faculty

3.5

About 40% of the faculty are doctorates. The rest are either post graduates or perusing PhD. Almost all teachers manage to deliver the required lessons in an interesting manner. All teachers provide help to students even after hours.
