Course Curriculum Overview
Of course, the teaching style and the university syllabus is better for making students, professionals. There were many workshops conducted by department to get students good awarness. Although the syllabus when i was studying was a littile out dated. Then it was revised by the university.
Placement Experience
Since we were MSc students college didnt did anything for getting us placed. There were companies visited in the college for ug students.
College Events
There were many events organised by various departments, student union, student political parties.etc. There were also inter college fests, arts festivals.etc. Tech fest were conducted by computer science department. Callege Union conducted many events on the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Since i was entered in merit quota, there were no fees. Only a PTA fees has to be paid in the time of admission. Since i had egrantz scholarship all other fees including exam fees were free. For students without having fee consession had to pay a small amount of fee, but was still affordable.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have opted for egrantz scholarship while studying. The college encouraged us to avail maximum scholorships.
Campus Life
There were more girl students in the college. College union had conducted many debates on contemporary topics. There were no intelorend behaviour from any student with regards to sex, religion, sexual orientation.etc.The whole college was like a family.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini Network is not that much good. There is no centralized alumini group for all college aluminis.
Admission
Admission to Msc Computer Science program under calicut university is based on entrance examinations. I was 12th rank holder in the entrance examinations. I opted NSS college college because i have heard about the college very much. I found the campus atmosphere wonderful after visiting.
Faculty
I had 5 lectures in my course. Average age would be 30 35 years. Most lectures were Mtech holders with net qualification. Some lectures also had junior research fellowship. Also there were facilities having a phd in computer science. The teacher student interaction was very good.
