About Christ Nagar College

The main positive aspect that i can talk about my College is that it emphasizes a lot on academics and the results show, for every single time there would be atleast one rank holder from each department in our College.

The course is rather rigid and slightly dated as the College comes under Kerala university, so we have to follow certain subjects and their respective books without much flexibility in their topics. Research work isn't given much priority until its the final year of College.

There are campus recruitments for the final year ug students from companies from Technopark like Alliance, Wipro and so on. No the College does not provide internships and if the students are interested, they have to find it from other sources.

My College is a study centric College so cultural events arent that much of a deal here, other than on days like Christmas, Onam and so on. But the College conducts a lot of seminars and meet ups. The students however participate for various management fests that happen inside and outside the state and are often awarded with prizes.

The fee structure is a bit more expensive compared to the other Colleges in Trivandrum but its compensated with the vast campus infrastructure snd facilities provided. My course has a sem fee of 15000 rupees

There arenot a form of scholarships provided by our College for any students who want to join any of its courses. This is probably because the fee structure is very cheap compared to other institutions and the donations aren't much either.

Speaking of extra curricular activities in our College, we have a dedicated sports team for cricket, basketball, shuttle and football. Recently a fully functioning gym has also been constructed which can be used for a very cheap rate

The College is relatively new as it was established in 2012 so the alumni is that strong as compared to other Colleges, but still they are very helpful as they come back to College to give us seminars and talks related to our curriculum and more.

I got admission in Christ Nagar College via merit, and i opted for BBA course as its one of the few Colleges in Trivandrum that provide it. The admission process was rather quick, i applied in the kerala university site and in the Christ Nagar College site, and then submitted the required documents.

The faculty members of my commerce are possibly the best part of College and they try to make the rather dull subjects interesting to a huge extent, and they are also very helpful for any sort of clarifications or doubts that we have.
