Course Curriculum Overview

5

Our syllabus was very thorough and descriptive. It covered topics like business economics, marketing management, sales, customer relationship management, etc. Exams took place at the end of each semester and we learned more than what we paid for. From little things like corporate governance to major things like revenue models, we learned everything.

Placement Experience

4.5

Our placement cell was active and relied on their extensive work connections to bring companies to the campus. They guided us for the placement process, even organized mock GDPI round, but that's not enough to place all students. Most of the recruitments were for the profile of Marketing, HR, and Finance with salary packages going as high as 22 LPA, 14 LPA, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The MBA fee was a bit high for me at around 5 lacs per month and around 10.5 lacs in total. This fee included the registration fees, examination fees, tuition fees, etc. I took a student loan for my masters. There were no hidden charges and I got full value of my money.

Fees and Financial Aid

The students securing ranks in top tier exams like CAT, GRE, GMAT, UPSC, UPSEE, etc. are awarded a scholarship in the form of grants. One of my classmates secured a scholarship on the basis of his GMAT score. Students belonging to a reserved category are also eligible for relaxation in the fee.

Campus Life

4

Different clubs and organizing bodies are operating in our college responsible for various kinds of activities. The 'Cultural and Event Management' committee is one such committee responsible for organizing such activities as extempore, quiz, folk dance, etc. We have a huge sports ground, auditoriums, grievance redressal committee, anti-ragging committee, etc.

Admission

The admission process includes appearing for a management-level entrance exam. The entrance exam was pretty basic and I filled the college form along with my exam scores and other details like graduation marks, X, XII marks, etc. A merit list is prepared on the basis of these details and some other factors including work experience, performance in written ability test, presentation, etc. Students are shortlisted on these bases. Finally, I attended the document verification process and after that, I was asked to submit the fee.

LIBA is located in the heart of Chennai, unlike many other colleges which are quite far away from the city. The college has a consistent placement record.Ethics is given an important focus.Chennai is a manufacturing hub, a metropolitan city, lot of IT companies, SAAS companies hub, automobile hub etc. Moreover well connected to cities through Air, Sea and Land.

Admissions are pretty direct here, students have to apply in the online format and appear for the counselling. The counselling process consists of a basic Interview. The interview was a pretty subjective and fun session.
