Remarks

The college is great when it comes to academics and studies but there are less opportunities to have fun inside the college campus. The guards and faculty members are very strict. The rules and regulations are strictly followed everywhere.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is vast because there is huge load of syllabus, there are three quarterly examination called Internals and there is one final University exam at the end of each year. Getting 50% in all the exams is what is the goal of all students studying here.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college provides internship after your four and a half years of MBBS is over. The duration of internship is 1 year. It is done at JSS Hospital. The stipend is ?10000 per month but it will increase in the coming years.

College Events

1

Tatvam, JSS Fest, Synapse, Asclepius There are many events going on during the college. There are cricket matches and football matches organised every week. There are many conferences organised and great doctors from around the country.

Fee Structure And Facilities

?14, 71, 000 per year and ?1, 27, 000 for hostel The fees is expensive but when you compare it to aother deemed universities fees, it is less than others like DY Patil. Fees is decreased from second year and is around 13 lacs

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no scholarship opportunities for any students coming from any type of background or any type of quota. The Fees for NRI quota is double thay of Management quota. There are no loan facilities available.

Campus Life

4

Extracurricular activities like football, cricket, basketball take place all the time in the college. There is a gym also. The labs are well maintained and there is no shortage of equipments aur apparatus.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The hostel is great from 2nd year but it is not so good for the first year because the rooms are triple sharing. However single rooms and double rooms are available from 2nd year along with attatched bathrooms.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the seniors of the college are very helpful to the students, the alumni have become great doctors in their respective fields and have earned a lot of fame for the college. There are no ragging incidents reported in the college

Admission

First of all, appearing in NEET UG examination is mandatory for taking admission. I scored above the cut-off marks in NEET. And I selected JSS Medical College in counselling process governed by Medical Counselling of India

Faculty

4.5

The faculty are great at teaching, experienced and well qualified. But, they are very strict when it comes to checking answers after examination. Overall, they are excellent. There are 10-15 faculties for every subject, so there is no shortage.

The curriculum is great. It is followed as per RGUHS ( Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) guidelines. There are currently RS4, RS5 and RS6 curriculums. Each curriculum is different in it's own way. The pattern of subjects, exams and NEXT exam has changed as per each year and curriculum.

Postings are helpful because we get to learn a lot of things and even the practical classes of pre and para clinical subjects. But keeping attendance mandatory for theory class doesent help much bcoz at the end we remember only those things which we have studied in our space and peace of mind. But attendance is very important criteria for getting eliginility for final exams

MBBS is a big part of my life , best course to take if you love reading and love science. Teaching methods in our college involves patient interaction and stuff giving us more practical knowledge. The internals take place once in 3 months followed by minimum of a month study holiday for the finals. The internals are fairly easy .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I grew up in a family of doctors and it was always my plan to pursue Mbbs. The faculty I would say like every college has the great ones and the not-so-great ones. The faculty: student ratio is high, but it all comes down to the quality of teaching. And which is okay as compared to govt. Colleges. Final Exams and at the end of each year, with question paper being set by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It is considered a very difficult exam to pass among medical universities in India. And 3 internal exams are conducted every year by the college itself.

Since it is a medical college. There are not many direct placements. We secure a good result and our next exam score decides the college we get placed or the pg course we shall be pursuing. My plans after getting this degree would be to pursue a course in general surgery.
