Remarks

The college administration is somewhat stringent and not student friendly. There is no students association for the students to voice their problems and difficulties. The environment of the college is just beautiful. It has nice ambience. Transportation is a problem as it is situated on NH-75 between cities. Buses are not halted there.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is as perfect as it can be, because food technology is covered diversely. All the fields of food technology is summed up in this curriculum along extra curricular like NSS, RAWE, all India Industrial visit.

Placement Experience

1.5

There is no placement cell in our college. Recently, 2 or 3 industries showed interest in campus recruitment. The college helps you get internship at various industries. Since the internship should be in 8th semester before graduation, no stipend are provided mostly.

College Events

4

All kinds of events are celebrated that are mainstream in our state, Karnataka. Cultural events are given a greater importance as it restores the glory of our traditions and value. Many other events such as reforestation, blood donation camps, rural awareness programmes are conducted.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible compared to other professional degree courses. The whole 4 year expenses for admission would sum up to not more than 2. 5 lakhs. The fee should be paid the beginning of every semester and not annually.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided by government like Vidyasiri which covers both admission and hostel fees. But it is limited only to students from poor economical background, also general category are not qualified for this. Loans can be availed from preferred banks on providing a conduct certificate of student from college.

Campus Life

3.5

Extracurricular activities like sports of all category are conducted. Many inter-collegiate events and tournaments are being conducted. They encourage students to be part of literary and cultural events. The support from teachers is immense. Lab facilities are available but not upto mark as mainly theory is concentrated by the professors.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel infrastucture is ordinary, nothing convincing. The rooms are kind of small as they are accomodating 4 persons in a room. The cleanliness and hygiene has taken a backseat in the hostel. Problems related to power supply can be expected during rainy season and water problems during summer season.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a alumni association in the college. Meetings and gatherings will be conducted by the college which helps students develop a cordial relationship between students and seniors. The senior students guides us as what is challenging, which has scope and helps us clear the dilemma of higher education.

Admission

I got the admission through KCET. There is no interviews conducted. The process is you get selected based on your option entry and your ranking as well as cut off of the college. We enter the preferred list of college through online entry, the college is allotted based on cutoff. The whole process is online. The fee payment of college is through an app. The process is quite easy

Faculty

3.5

The faculty could have been better. My opinion is totally personal. The faculty are not under qualified but the teaching methodology is mainly concerned about theoretical knowledge but its prevalent that we should be equipped with practical knowledge.

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.
