My college SDM

My college gives importance to everything like studies, sports. Sdm college has even won many prizes which are displayed at entrance. Infrastructure is absolutely good. We write our exams in E-pad which helps us in saving our time and can give a very good presentation. Lecturers are so helpful even. This college is hence in the list of top 10. Im so lucky to get a free seat in this college.

We have theory classes only for 5 hours and we practice for 2-3 hours. Once in a week we go to clinics to learn what we are supposed to do in next years. We do not feel it so hectic even because of regular intervals in between classes. Labs are like a kind of fun where we experience things on ourselves, know about many things in nature and uses.

Yes, our college provides internship. But there are no placements for Mbbs and BDS anywhere in country. But job opportunities for sdmites are high because it's one of the top college in the country. For Nirbhaya case, a staff from our dental college gave evidence of tooth makrs as forensic dentistry.

In the beginning we had cultural fest for a week. In that we had dance competitions, singing competition, Cleopatra competition, fancy dress competition, coffee with staff, desert making competition and many more. Then we had Karnataka rajyotsava celebrations, Christmas celebrations with secret santa, Sankranti celebrations like flying kites and Lohri dance.

Fee structure is not that high. It's affordable for a middle class family with free seat. It nearly costs 1. 5 lakh per anum. It also includes college fee, books fee, bus fee, mess fees, hostel fees.

Loan facility is available which helps few students to prove themselves even though if they do bad in graduation exam. And the students of merit list has to pay only 85k which is very less in such good college.

This college has best infrastructure I can say. Labs are spacious, tidy, well ventilated and all equipments are good. We also have programs for dance, singing, monoacting, Cleopatra, games and many more.

Yes. I stay in hostel. It is also very spacious and cupboards are separately provided for everyone. Aunties regularly clean the rooms. And hostel fees is also not much. It's only 28k per year. Girls and boys hostels are separate. We are not allowed into hostels late night except priorly informed. There is lots and lots of greenery surrounding hostel. There is also a big ground where many people come from outside to play cricket, football.

The best part is seniors are so helping in nature. They are our second teachers and book donors as well. There is no ragging kind of thing except few introduction classes only in the beginning. Students score above 85%, which gives us strength and inspiration.

I was preparing for medical exam but I couldn't reach to that level. My marks were little less. So my uncle helped me to join in this college telling that" BDS is also as equal as Mbbs, their future is not known but your future is decided priorly "he said. Then we applied it online and finally I'm here in this college. Admission was based on NEET UG exam conducted all over country.

Faculty is so good and helping. They always welcome us when we have doubts. They don't make us feel that they are lecturer and all. They explain us like a last minute exam friend who explains everything in short time. They keep testing us with exams and help us to overcome our troubles
