National Rail and Transportation Institute- An ocean of opportunities

NRTI is an ocean of opportunities for people who are willing to try something new and unique in their lives. The are ample opportunities for future, the teachers are best in their fields and the facilities are awesome. So, I urge you all to have a look at this brimming ocean.

NRTI is the first-of-its-kind institution in India which aims to basically revamp the transportation in for Indian common folk. It is currently offering two courses:- 1. B.Sc in Transportation Technology 2. BBA in Transportation Management But the administration is planning to start PG courses as early as from academic year 2020-21. The curriculum is designed by the experts in the field of education in the country including the members of Railway Board and Directors and Chancellors of various IITs. The college also has tie-ups with half a dozen of foreign universities. The Indian Railways is responsible for providing us with its labs and infrastructure. The exam routine is student friendly and we get ample time to prepare for examinations. Overall, it is the best you can expect from a new college, everything is world-class.

NRTi is established in 2018 and the first batch is currently pursuing its studies, so there have been no placements so far. But there is wide scope of careers lying ahead for NRTI students. The Railway Minister himself told us that NRTI students do not have to worry about the placements as they are guaranteed. We have also been assured the same by many guest faculties during our induction week. NRTI is the only college of its kind in India and is under the Ministry of Railways, so the scope for job placements is ample for NRTI students. to have glimpse of future opportunities, the students of NRTI can expect jobbs in following:- 1. Indian Railways 2. Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited 3. Airports Authority of India 4. National Highways Authority of India 5. Adani Ports 5. Mahindra Logistics

Since there are only 100 students in the first batch and 103 students in the second batch, we are a family in ourselves. We observe almost every major event be it Kite Flying on Makar Sankranti or Flag Hoisting on Independence Day. We even have a Event Management Club which is responsible for conducting events of various sorts for us. Fresher's Party, Dandiya Night, Musical Fest, Sports Week are some of the events we have observed in our journey of two years.

The Fee structure is very feasible. The fees we pay is highly subsidized, keeping in mind the facilities we get here. Teachers who are pioneers in the subjects they teach, lush-green campus, ultra-modern classrooms, air-conditioned hostels and everything in just ?1,61,500.

Yes. There is an option of financial aid by the college itself for poor students. The option is available once you submit the financial aid form and the income certificate of your parents. However, you have to pay the fess in full at the time of counselling-cum-admission process. the financial aid option can only be opted once you are a student of NRTI.

There is ample scope to brush up your skills at NRTI. Even in a short span of two years, we have formed many clubs in which students can join as their hobbies suit them. the clubs formed so far at NRTI are:- Explorer's Club Sports Club Quiz Club Social Service Club Dance Club Literary Club Movie Aficionados Club Music Club Media Club Tech Club Theater Club Event Management Club

The courses at NRTI are fully residential, so every student has to opt for a hostel which are provided by the college itself. The hostels are best one can expect in such feasible fees. The rooms are spacious and air conditioned, with attached bathrooms and double occupancy. Geysers are there in bathrooms. Room service is there for cleaning our rooms. The hostel has WiFi connectivity. We also have a common recreation room which has a large TV and a PS4. The Hostel Fee in included in the total fee (which is ?161500), we have to pay no other charges for maintenance or anything after that.

Since both the batches if NRTI are currently pursuing their courses, there is no alumni network so far. But once the first batch gets passed out, I believe that the NRTI administration would definitely work something out to have the same.

NRTI is a newly established college by the Ministry of Railways and envisioned by our Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi in 2018. The admission procedure is as follows:- 1. In order to get admission in this college one must keep a check on official notification for invitation of applications by desiring candidates. 2. After release of official notification the candidates will have to apply online on the official website of the college. 3. Once registered, the candidates will get an application number which will be their identity for the rest of admission process. 4. After closing of applications, NRTI will administer an online Entrance Exam in which is the only way to get admitted in NRTI 5. After the exam, Merit List will be released and the selected candidates will be intimated and will be invited for Admission-cum-counselling session where they will have to pay the fees and done with all the formalities. And you are done!

Since we are a newly established college, we do not currently have any permanent faculty. But all the faculties which have taught us so far are from the most reputes institutions of India, the IITs. IIMs, Indian Statistical Institute etc. The faculty are well versed in their concerned subjects. Some of the faculties we have are even better than the ones in IITs.
