Course Curriculum Overview

5

During the 2-year course duration, the students are given a flavor of general management and different operational activities of a corporate in order to provide a holistic view of the inner workings of a company. First-year is divided into two terms, on the basis of the course structure. The final year is also divided into two semesters and features more subjects from specialization.

Placement Experience

4.5

Name an industry-specific top brand in India and there is a pretty high probability that it will be there in the placement process. The college is very helpful in assisting the students in the placement process. Some of the top companies which show up quite frequently for the recruitment process include HDFC Bank, ICICI, Lynk, Decimal point, Kantar group, Reliance, Ipsos, etc. The average packages secured by my batch was around 4 LPA, while the highest would go as high as INR 9 LPA.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My one year fee was around 2,60,000 Rs. which is comparatively less than other top tiers B-school. Xavier group is known for their premium fee structure since having a Xavier degree is a Job assurance in itself. Facilities offered are also pretty good.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life was pretty great and lavish. One of the specialties of the Xavier is there legit adherence to the phrase work-life balance, as in this case, it was the academics and extracurricular activities. The campus life was pretty fun, which helped in relaxing the tension of the exhaustive course curriculum. The infrastructure was not good enough and a lot of room for improvement.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facility is also available for select candidates. Hostel rooms were pretty much affordable and hygienic. The facilities provided in the hostel rooms included a relaxing room with indoor games like carrom and TT. The mess food was also good.

Admission

Admission to one of the most prestigious management colleges is as tough as crossing sea on a boat. Thankfully the weather doesn’t spoil your journey here, but tough competition can. So you have to be prepared. I prepared for more than a year for my XAT exam and secured a pretty good percentile. I attended the common admission process, did well in that and, voila! I was eligible for a number of top B-School. Mumbai being closer (comparatively) to my home, instantly became my first choice.

Faculty

4

Faculty is pretty decent and are some of the brilliant minds of the Indian corporate. The teaching style is top-notch and unique. The structure of the classroom is specifically designed to eliminate the monotonous model of teaching. Our classrooms were semicircle shaped and perfect for a two-way teaching style. The faculty used to share their personal experiences and valuable insights on live topics, which literally helped in shaping our thought process.

Placement Experience:

The average Lpa of the college is 9 lpa so it is good. Marketing gets 100% placement as compared to other streams. There is booth on campus and off campus placement. And the placement cells bring good companies and there are chances of PPO also.

College management is not that good, which I felt is need to be improved. making everything student centric makes it difficult for students as well as college to be organised.

We learned a lot from the curriculum and the college itself. My journey was a mixed bag of feelings with many sweet and sour moments. The classroom sessions were fun and so were the field visits and management activities like webinars or mock marketing competitions.

The university gives you a great exposure to shape up your life for a great future. There's absolutely no racism and everyone is treated equally. This is the only institute in pune where girls and boys are found in almost equal numbers. In fact girls are encouraged to become entrepreneurs.
