Best college for those who wanted to persue their Masters and PhD in Defense topics which is need of the time. Also you have access to all DRSO labs in India for research purpose. Also MOU is signed with different IIT's for research oriented activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
Best suitable for every engineering background. There are 4 semester's out of which first 2 semesters are allotted with 6 subjects each of regarding department. And last 2 semester's are allotted for M.Tech dissertation phase.
Placement Experience
As this is deemed University funded by the Ministry of Defense here with scolership students there also defense personals to, and they are already employed, and this University is more research oriented incouraging for PhD. Hence placement here are less but they are optimum in few department
College Events
Technica festivals like Conferences, Seminars, Symposiums, Workshops are continuously arranged in DIAT, Even Ganapati Festival, Durga Pooja Festival, Extra curricular activities like Waste Management are conducted.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fess structure for each semester is 18000. So yearly it become 36000 Rs. Which is feasible in this envoirment of rising prices. For hostel accommodation we have daily charges of RS 195 per day. Which is approximately 5100 Rs per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
Every student here at Defense Institute of Advanced Technology is either selected through GATE exam, or SET exam, or written test conducted by DIAT hence every student get Stipend from MHRD , government of India.
Campus Life
Infrastructure here at DIAT is awesome managed by Ministry of Defense, and Military Engineering Services. Also best Laboratory facilities are available. Even students in DIAT can access to all DRDO labs in India. Sports facilities like table tennis, tennis, cricket ground, Squash are provided.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I have opted for Hostel.Hostel here at Defense Institute of Advanced Technology are best. Room with attached bathroom and toilet for 2 people is allotted. With big canteen, TV room , Gymnasium, reading room Indoor sports room is also provided.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, Alumni network at Defense Institute of Advanced Technology is the weakest part. As earlier DIAT was for only defense personals there are few batches that have scolerships students hence no such contact/alumni meet is occur at DIAT.
Admission
On the basis of GATE score followed by counselling on merit basis. Student's are need to fill online form of DIAT when admission procedure starts. They need to fill there Gate score in it, also in which department they wish to apply. You can apply at a time for more than one department.
Faculty
Most of the faculties of DIAT are from Defense sector like Defense Research and Development Organisation(DRDO) Scientist, ARMY, AIR FORCE, NEAVY retired Officer's. They have pool of talented teachers, Professor's from IIT's also. Highly qualified, and research oriented faculties.
