Remarks

The College is really good if you also put the same kind of effort. And it has a good environment as the campus is inside a Film Studio. So, join if you are keen on becoming a film maker or working on films.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The Course for Film Making includes both practical and theory classes and experiences. Apart from all the classes, there are tons of events and clubs to take part in to improve your skill. There are movies screened every week in our in house 80 seater 7.1 theatre. The Exam Structure includes internals which can be theory or practical or both, and Final Exams which are theory and practical and include final Internal marks as well.

Placement Experience

1.5

Unfortunately, Film Making students don't experience Placements. But the Faculty helps you with contacts from the industry who you can approach. You can also find internships outside college as there will always be someone to help you with contacts.

College Events

4.5

The college has a long list of clubs, which almost always work towards events. As in every college, some colleges fail to perform because of the disinterest of students. But, there are a lot of events and outside events too which we all can take part in and contribute to.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is similar to Film Schools across the country. It is expensive, but this fee structure is almost the same or even more when it comes to other colleges like Whistling Woods or so. So, a fee of 10 Lakhs wouldn't be too much if you work hard enough and claim your rights.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year, students who get more than an average of 80% in the 2 semesters are given a scholarship of Rs 25,000 and more than 85% are given Rs 50,000. So, you have to work hard a little for the benefit. But there's no limitation as to how many students can get it.

Campus Life

5

There's a basket ball court, TT table and a very active sports club. There are production spaces for shoots, there is a direction room for shoots, there are also edit suites and sound studios for our use as well. They are highly equipped.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The Hostel is a PG, which the College has rented out. So, the facilities are pretty good and luxurious. The hostel also is 5kms away from the college and cheap modes of transport is available to college, which is good.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumni is really helpful if contacted politely. Since its the film industry, you never know when someone is busy. So, with their permission and at their convenience, the alumni is extremely helpful.

Admission

The Application can be filled by making a call to the college office phone number written on the website page. Or, you can search for @acfm_official on Instagram and DM them, they will reply within hours with details. There will be a test and then an interview, which are both pretty simple. You will have to know basics of film.

Faculty

4

The Faculty is very inclusive of all students, does their job to the fullest, available post college hours for clarifications, helpful in finding leads to jobs in future as well. They are highly knowledgeable and helpful.
