NMIMS. This is the brand name in which the college is working. If you ask anyone in Mumbai about NMIMS University almost everyone knows it but when you tell them about Mukesh Patel no one knows it so the college in existing because of NMIMS only
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very lengthy and unwanted as we need 80% of attendance and there are 45 hours for every theory subject exclusive of the practicals and tutorials for every semester. A semester is of 15 weeks which includes tests every month and sem end exams at the end.
Placement Experience
According to the college, they give 100% placements but the real thing is that many students does not sit for placements as some go for further studies and others do something else(family business etc) and the package students get is quite low. Till 3rd year they do not provide any additional internship and not even talk about it so talking about stipend is of no sense
College Events
There are many events celebrated in the college but every event is not so big and highly promoted. But two events Sattva (which is the cultural fest , a three day long event) and Taqneeq ( which is the the technical fest) But in these events the college students are not interested and they not even attend them as no one has created a interest in them
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees of the college is pretty much expensive then other colleges as we have almost RS 3 lacs (just tuition fee) and for their hostels they price almost 20k per month, so for Btech the fees and the overall cost is very high and not worth the quality
Fees and Financial Aid
So as per I know there is not any scholarships provided to the students during admission time and after that. Yes they provide facility of loan payment with less interest rates but the scheme is not a advantageous scheme
Campus Life
So the college is basically a building of 8 floors and with a small canteen and nothing else. So talking of sports is of no sense we have to pay a lot (2k per hour) for playing in small turfs and about labs, in our course there are many lab related subjects
Alumni/Alumna
as there is no campus in college, almost every students stay in rented flats with their friends so interaction with seniors is very low as already we have almost 8 hours of college everyday so we are very bust. The only way to meet them is during committee sessions. There we can interact with them
Admission
By giving NPAT(NMIMS programs after 12th) and then getting selected based on the merit number given on the basis of the results in NPAT. After getting the results, we need to visit to campus for counseling and selecting the course stream and fee deposition.
Faculty
The faculties in the college are not like we expect from a engineering college. Some of the faculties are very much capable and are PHD in their respective Fields but most of them are undergoing their PHD and almost everyone is doing in this college only.
