Questions Asked On AIIMS Raebareli, Rae Bareli

Is life at AIIMS Raebareli different than that of AIIMS Delhi in terms of fests, facilities, entertainment, and joy? Do celebrities come to AIIMS Raebareli like in AIIMS Delhi?

Muskan Shafi Posted On : April 6th, 2024

Considering the fact that AIIMS Raebareli is a relatively newly established AIIMS, unlike AIIMS Delhi, it is obvious that the academics, facilities, campus exposure, fests, and events are not the same in both institutes. The facilities, academics, and campus life are way better at AIIMS Delhi. The institute hosts various events, fests, and cultural activities, unlike AIIMS Raebareli which is slowly growing popular and still struggling to achieve it. However, it wouldn’t be fair and logical to compare a newly established institute like AIIMS Raebareli with AIIMS Delhi, the best medical college in India, in terms of student life and campus exposure.

Being an AIIMS, there is no doubt that AIIMS Raebareli has quite good campus infrastructure and facilities compared to other government colleges and a few AIIMS as well. The lush green campus is supported by well-maintained hostels with spacious rooms and good furniture. AIIMS Raabareli hostels are quite good in terms of facilities provided and the mess also serves good quality food with proper hygiene. Within the campus, the institute also offers a lot of facilities for recreational purposes, such as a well-furnished common room with a TV, all indoor and outdoor games, a gym, etc. Given the fact that it is still developing, AIIMS Raebareli doesn’t have any major fests and events as of now.

Can I expect AIIMS Raebareli or Deoghar with a score of 500 in the NEET 2023 being in the UR category?

KD
Karan Deshmane Posted On : June 10th, 2023
Lives in Deoghar

AIIMS Raebareli and Deoghar's cutoff is expected to be higher than new government colleges in rural areas because of the no-bond policy, better hostels, and low fees.

As for the cutoff, we need to predict the rank with 500 scores. Based on expert's analysis of NEET Rank vs NEET Score,

NEET Marks

NEET Rank

509 - 500

76500 - 85025

499 - 490

85032 - 93986

NEET Cutoff 2022

Institute

Cutoff

AIIMS Deoghar

2991

AIIMS Raebareli

4010

Now if you compare the rank you are getting with a score of 500 with the actual cutoffs os AIIMS Raebareli and AIIMS Deoghar, you will see it is almost impossible to get admission for general category students.

Which AIIMS is better Nagpur or Raipur?

R
RenegadeRhubarb Posted On : February 25th, 2026

I'm studying at AIIMS Raipur, so I can share a lot about it, but I can't really compare it to AIIMS Patna since I haven't been there. When I was choosing colleges, I had AIIMS Patna as an option, but I went with Raipur because people told me it was safer. I can definitely say that the academics at AIIMS Raipur are fantastic. The teachers are really committed and always come up with new ways to help us manage our workload.

As for accommodation, first-year MBBS students live in 3-bedroom apartments shared by five people. Three students have their own rooms with a shared bathroom, while the other two share a larger room with an attached bathroom. We have hot water and a constant water supply. The college is also getting better at organizing events. We have marathons, dance events, street plays, and lots of cultural and sports activities.

How is AIIMS Nagpur??

W
WhisperingWaffle Posted On : February 25th, 2026

AIIMS, Nagpur, is part of a prestigious group of public medical schools known as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, which are recognized as Institutes of National Importance. This status was established by a 1956 Act of Parliament. AIIMS Nagpur was one of the four new institutes announced in the 2014-15 budget under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.

The foundation stone was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at a site in MIHAN, with several notable figures, including Nitin Gadkari, in attendance. The main goals of AIIMS include addressing regional disparities in access to affordable, reliable healthcare and enhancing the quality of medical education across India.

Which college should I prefer AIIMS Nagpur or AIIMs Rishikesh I live in Maharashtra?

V
VelvetVulture Posted On : February 25th, 2026

Maharashtra is quite large. If you live closer to Nagpur, then picking AIIMS Nagpur might be the way to go. Both are AIIMS, so the differences aren't huge, and Nagpur is developing quickly.

However, AIIMS Rishikesh currently has a bit of an edge over Nagpur. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide.

Which is the best in Acharya Institute of Technology on the basis of its location Reva or CMRIT?

U
UniqueUmbra Posted On : February 24th, 2026

This is a unique one for me, rating a college just by where it's located. AIT is in a great spot with easy access to both bus and train services. As for REVA, I'm not quite sure. CMRIT also has a good location with convenient bus services.

How was your experience in AIIMS Nagpur so far?

X
XenialXyris Posted On : February 23rd, 2026

With the counseling season just around the corner, it seems like a good time to share my experience. I'm currently a first-year student at AIIMS, Nagpur. My first visit to the campus was on December 8, 2020. Even though there was ongoing construction on the IPD side, the OPD area really impressed me. We waited outside the admin office, and the place had centralized AC, shiny floors, and impressive buildings, making you forget it's a new institution.

As one of my seniors mentioned, these central institutions only improve over time, and I've witnessed that firsthand in the months I've been here. While many state colleges started online classes in January, our college kicked off with offline classes on December 14, 2020. We had an induction ceremony at the OPD, and then we received our admission letters. Classes began in earnest, and soon enough it was December 31st, with New Year celebrations, which were a big deal due to Covid restrictions. It was a blast.

The city is just a 20-minute ride from campus, and there are plenty of transport options like cabs, the metro (Khapri station is 4.5 km away), city buses, and autos, so getting around has never been an issue for me. The boys' hostel has 13 floors, and the girls' hostel has 6 floors, each with two elevators. We got Wi-Fi and washing machines a few months after joining. The curfew is at 11 PM, and we're allowed to have coolers, induction stoves, and small fridges, but not ACs.

The food in the mess is manageable; coming from the east, I sometimes find it spicy, but it's generally okay. We've celebrated New Year, Onam, and Ganesh Chaturthi. This month, we had our first college week called HALLUCIA, packed with cultural and sports events, followed by Foundation Day. There are also workshops, essay and poster competitions, and intercollege contests. We have an excellent library too.

I sometimes play badminton or table tennis, and there are foosball tables as well. I'm mostly a spectator for volleyball and basketball. There's a plan for a cricket and football ground. One of the best parts is that the college is free from ragging. I haven't heard of any serious cases, and my interactions with seniors have been pleasant and helpful.

Academics are a priority here, and classes are rarely canceled, which can be a bit tiring. The labs are well-equipped, and the professors are supportive. The limited holidays (mainly due to session delays from Covid) and the uniform might be downsides, but I've gotten used to the uniform.

The patient load keeps growing, and sometimes it's hard to see a doctor because of the crowd. The climate is another thing to note; having lived in a coastal town for a decade, I find the summers and winters extreme, but folks from the north seem fine, and the weather is nice for most of the year. These have been my experiences so far, and there's still a lot to come. If you have more questions, feel free to ask!

Should I select AIIMS Nagpur over a top state college I am from Maharashtra and state college have 1 year mandatory bond?

P
PhantomFable Posted On : February 19th, 2026

I’ll break down the pros and cons between JJ and Seth GS based on my experience, as I was in a similar situation, and then share my decision and opinion.

Seth GS:

Pros:

  • It’s a well-known college with an established reputation and older infrastructure.
  • Offers the best academics in Maharashtra.
  • KEM, where you can pursue post-graduation, is top-notch in India, plus you’ll have the state PG quota.
  • Living in Mumbai is an experience in itself, especially if you’re not from the city.
  • Since it’s a BMC college, your bond service won’t be in a rural area but in a BMC hospital (though I’m not entirely sure about this).

Cons:

  • No hostel for first-year students, which can be tough for those not from Mumbai. Renting in Mumbai is expensive.
  • The infrastructure isn’t as good when compared to AIIMS Nagpur.
  • Annual fees are around 1 lakh, while AIIMS Nagpur is about 5,000.
  • There’s a 10-lakh bond for one year, and you can’t leave India for five years after graduation.
  • The campus is smaller.
  • Internship stipends are lower.

AIIMS Nagpur:

  • Offers good hostel facilities and infrastructure.
  • Comes with the prestigious AIIMS tag.
  • Lower fees and living costs compared to Mumbai.
  • The campus is larger than KEM.
  • Higher stipend for internships.
  • No rural bond requirement.

Since you’re from Maharashtra and have domicile status, you’ll be eligible for the state PG quota, so I won’t factor that in.

My Choice:
I chose KEM because it’s in Mumbai, one of the best in the city, and I have the state quota. I initially thought there was an internal PG quota at KEM, but there isn’t.

Here’s my take for you:

Case 1: If you’re not from Mumbai or nearby areas like Thane or Pune, and finances are a concern due to fees and rent, plus you want hostel life and have high marks or reservations, go for AIIMS Nagpur.

Case 2: If you’re from Mumbai or nearby, don’t want to move to Nagpur, have good marks but a lower rank, then Seth GS is a better option. This was my scenario.

Overall, when comparing other state colleges with AIIMS Nagpur, I’d recommend AIIMS Nagpur over others like Grant JJ, BJMC Pune, and LTMC Sion.

Which college is better GSMC or AIIMS Nagpur considering academics hostel facilities library etc?

P
PixelatedProphet Posted On : February 18th, 2026

Hey there!

When comparing a central institute like AIIMS to a state GMC, there are several perks to consider. One big advantage of AIIMS is that there's no bond requirement. This means after finishing your MBBS, you can immediately jump into PG studies without any delay, keeping your study momentum going and saving you a year. This leads to starting your career earlier.

I've got a bunch of friends from Maharashtra who opted for AIIMS over KEM. AIIMS is a leader in research, balancing education and healthcare with a strong focus on research.

Here are some key points to think about:

  • Type of college life (fast-paced in Mumbai or more laid-back in Nagpur)
  • Infrastructure and hostel facilities
  • Bond requirements
  • Academics
  • PG reservation opportunities
  • Cultural environment
  • Research options
  • Fees and expenses

Mumbai is exciting but can be overwhelming, while AIIMS Nagpur offers a quieter setting with fresh air, being on the outskirts. The new campus and hostel have modern facilities, and the hostel rooms are really impressive.

AIIMS doesn't require a bond, freeing you up after graduation. GSMC does have a bond, which impacts your decisions. Academics are top-notch at both, but KEM offers a 50% PG quota, and AIIMS Nagpur uses a roaster system.

Culture is a personal choice. KEM has a long history and strong reputation, while AIIMS gives you the feel of an Institute of National Importance (INI). Both colleges provide great research opportunities, though AIIMS has better funding.

Cost is another factor. AIIMS charges a low fee of ?5856 for the entire 5.5 years, including hostel fees. On the other hand, KEM's fees exceed 5L, and you don't get a hostel room in the first year.

Consider these points carefully when deciding on the next 5.5 years of your life. Good luck! Peace ??

Aditya

How is the college and hostel life at AIIMS Nagpur?

V
ValiantVortex Posted On : February 17th, 2026

Hey there, thanks for asking! This info could be super helpful for those prepping for NEET and looking to join a top AIIMS college.

AIIMS Nagpur boasts the best campus among all AIIMS locations. Now, let me tell you about life in the hostel.

Rooms: In the first year, you'll share a double room with all the amenities. By the middle of the second year, you get your own room, fully equipped. AIIMS Nagpur's hostels really stand out compared to others.

Hostel timing: Since May 1, 2023, the hostel's curfew has changed, putting AIIMS Nagpur ahead of most AIIMS, except Delhi. First-year students had a 10 PM curfew, and for others, it was 11 PM, with the library closing at 10 PM. After the new director came in, students requested extended hours, and it happened! Now, from May 1, 2023, the hostel curfew is 2 AM, and the library stays open until midnight.

College dress: AIIMS Nagpur had a set dress code. First-year students wore all white for about six months, then switched to peach shirts and brown pants. But now, the dress code is gone. You can wear any formal attire, but a white apron with the college logo is still required.

Campus: The campus is beautiful and green, with nearly every sports facility you could want. There are cricket and football grounds, basketball and volleyball courts, badminton, table tennis, pool tables, and even a new athletic track in the works.

Vacation: This is a big plus at AIIMS Nagpur! They offer vacations to all students. There's a one-month summer break and a 16-17 day winter break. Unlike many colleges, AIIMS Nagpur gives you plenty of time off.

AIIMS Nagpur also has great features like:

  • Music Club: The faculty and students started a new music club with all the latest equipment.
  • Ragging-free campus: It's known for being free of ragging.
  • Temple: There's a temple on campus, adding to its charm.
  • Vehicles: Starting this year, students can bring their own vehicles, as long as they follow traffic rules.
  • Studies: The academics are top-notch, and there are many research opportunities.

In just five years, AIIMS Nagpur has become a fantastic medical college. It's likely to become one of the top colleges soon, as cutoffs keep increasing. This year, the general category cutoff was around 1.3k, compared to 1.8/1.9k last year. So, expect even higher cutoffs soon, making it comparable to older AIIMS.

Welcome to AIIMS Nagpur! Good luck to all NEET aspirants. Bye for now. Best of luck!
