A relative got a 67 rank in WBJEE 9-10 years ago and couldn't get a seat in ECE but secured ETCE in Jadavpur University during the spot round. Even 5–6 years ago, ETCE had the lowest closing rank at JU. Jadavpur's ETCE is one of the most reputed ECE departments in India, even better than some newer IITs. It's well-known for research projects, and students often achieve good ranks in GATE or pursue MS in top universities in the US.
