MNNIT Allahabad’s B.Tech in Civil Engineering offers a solid curriculum and good placement opportunities, especially with core companies visiting for civil roles, but the tech placement scene isn’t as strong as NIT Warangal's B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, which attracts top tech firms like Amazon and Microsoft. The fees at MNNIT are around Rs. 95,000 per semester, while NIT Warangal’s fees are quite similar, but the potential salary return on investment for CSE graduates is significantly higher. Scholarships are available at both institutes, but for a tech-savvy student, NIT Warangal is likely the smarter financial choice considering the industry demand for computer science graduates in 2026. If you're inclined towards civil engineering, MNNIT is a great option, but for the best ROI, NIT Warangal is the way to go.

MNNIT Allahabad's B.Tech in Civil Engineering has solid internship opportunities with companies like Amazon and Goldman Sachs, but the tech placement scene is not as strong for civil branches compared to the high demand for Computer Science graduates from NIT Warangal, where top tech firms frequently recruit. NIT Warangal offers a more robust placement environment with a higher average package due to the booming tech industry. For someone who is inclined towards civil engineering and values hands-on experience, MNNIT might be a great fit, but if you're aiming for better job prospects and are interested in tech, NIT Warangal is definitely the way to go.

MNNIT Allahabad's B.Tech Civil Engineering program offers a solid curriculum with practical lab work, but the placement scenario for civil students doesn’t quite match the tech-heavy placement rates seen at NIT Warangal for B.Tech Computer Science Engineering. NIT Warangal attracts top tech companies like Amazon and Google, providing students with excellent internship opportunities and overall higher placement packages. While MNNIT has a rich campus life and events, the tech-centric environment of NIT Warangal is hard to beat for anyone aiming for a career in computer science. I would personally lean towards NIT Warangal if tech placements and industry exposure are your priorities, but MNNIT is a great choice for civil engineering enthusiasts who value a vibrant campus life.

I’m diving into this, but I know many won’t read it because it’s long and written by a guy.

Since the question focuses on a single branch for comparison, I can definitely provide an answer. If you’re asking about CSE, you likely have a good rank. Kudos for that!

Based on my analysis, the order should be:

  • NIT Warangal
  • BITS Hyderabad
  • MNNIT

While the average package across these colleges is quite similar, I rank Warangal higher due to its quality teaching and better exposure to the professional world. Plus, it’s more affordable than BITS.

Now, BITS is extremely expensive. However, it ranks above MNNIT because MNNIT’s affordability comes at the expense of its education quality. Although I didn’t study CSE, I know that MNNIT CSE is primarily known for its alumni support and competitive environment, not for providing top-notch infrastructure and facilities.

The reason MNNIT is at the bottom is its declining legacy. It’s true that placements are limited, except for CSE and ECE. While students from Civil Engineering do exceptionally well in GATE/PSE, it’s clear they succeed mainly because they are instilled with a sense of fear about their prospects.

As a current student of MNNIT in the CSE branch, I can share insights about MNNIT, CSE.

  • This branch was the first of its kind started in India at MNNIT.
  • Placements are the best part of CSE here.
  • The average CTC is 12 LPA, and the highest package ranges from 47 lakh to 1 crore rupees, including off-campus placements.
  • One of the best coding environments is available.
  • The faculty is excellent.
  • Overall, it's a fantastic college for every course.

Wishing everyone a happy life ahead at MNNIT!
