DTU's B.Tech in Information Technology offers impressive placement opportunities with top companies like Microsoft and Nvidia visiting for recruitment, while also providing a solid internship pipeline from companies like Amazon and various startups. The faculty-student ratio is favorable, and the curriculum seems to support effective learning. In contrast, NIT Kurukshetra's B.Tech in Electrical Engineering also has a good reputation, but the specific placement statistics and internship details aren't as robustly outlined as those for DTU. If you're leaning towards a tech-oriented career with a strong emphasis on software and IT roles, DTU might be the better choice. However, if you're more inclined towards core engineering and want a traditional engineering degree with potential in electrical sectors, then NIT Kurukshetra could be a great fit.

DTU offers a vibrant campus life with various fests and societies that cater to diverse interests, while NIT Kurukshetra is known for its strong technical background and alumni network. At DTU, the faculty-student ratio is favorable, and the curriculum is tailored for practical applications, especially in tech fields, leading to impressive placement statistics from companies like Microsoft and Nvidia. On the other hand, NIT Kurukshetra has a solid reputation in Electrical Engineering, but the overall student experience seems less dynamic compared to DTU. Personally, I’d pick DTU for its engaging campus life and robust placement opportunities in IT, making it a better fit for those leaning towards tech careers.

Go for B.Tech in Information Technology at NIT Kurukshetra. You mentioned that coding interests you. Here, IT is considered equivalent to Computer Engineering. Students from both branches are taught by the same set of professors. Most subjects are common. The coding culture is fantastic! All the big companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Directi, and Amazon visit the campus for placements. If you want to follow your interests, IT is the better option. Ultimately, the choice is yours. Good luck!

Considering your options, I suggest going for B.Tech in Information Technology at NIT Kurukshetra. Nowadays, the IT sector is leading in terms of job opportunities compared to others.

NIT Kurukshetra is also a solid choice in terms of placements.

In DTU, if you choose Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, it's still a good option, but since you mentioned your interest in coding, you should focus on IT.

Many students in DTU from Mechanical, Electrical, and Communication Engineering often express that they wish they had opted for CSE or IT in other colleges.

No doubt, DTU has great placement records, with almost 90% of students getting placed.

But ultimately, the choice is yours! Thank you!

If you have a strong interest in coding, you should definitely focus on that! Here’s what you should consider:

  • 1). If you are seriously passionate about coding, then go for B.Tech in Information Technology at NIT Kurukshetra without hesitation. The placements and career opportunities in IT there are excellent, with an average package of around 10–12 lacs per annum.
  • 2). If you want to explore and develop your personality, then DTU is the better option. Being located in Delhi, DTU offers better overall exposure to its students, which NIT Kurukshetra may lack.

So, think about what matters more to you and make your choice!
