The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the WB HS Result 2026 on May 14, 2026 at 10:30 AM through a press conference at Vidyasagar Bhavan, Kolkata — as confirmed by official WBCHSE notification No. L/PR/198/2026 dated 22 April 2026.
- The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced that the overall pass percentage stands at 91.23 percent.
- Adrito Sarkar tops the scores with 696/700.
- Anubhav Biswas from Malda and Somyo Pal have grabbed the second spot in the Class 12 results.
- Ishani Chakraborty has secured the third rank in the WBCHSE West Bengal HS Result 2026 with 99 percent marks.

- Over 7.10 lakh students who appeared for the WBCHSE 4th Semester examinations (conducted February 12–27, 2026) across Science, Commerce and Arts streams are awaiting their West Bengal HS Result 2026.

How to download digital marksheet through DigiLocker and UMANG
Candidates can access the provisional scorecard through multiple digital platforms after the release of results.
Step 1: Open DigiLocker or the UMANG App.
Step 2: Log in using the registered mobile number.
Step 3: Select educational services or issued documents.
Step 4: Choose West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
Step 5: Enter roll number and examination year.
Step 6: Download the digital marksheet.
Students checking results online through websites should keep screenshots and printouts safely. These provisional copies may be required until original mark sheets and certificates are distributed through schools across West Bengal.
The hard copies of the marksheet, pass certificate, and registration certificate will be distributed to the concerned institutions from 56 distribution centers across West Bengal on May 14, 2026, starting at 11 am.

- Purba Medinipur emerged as the top district with 91.23%
- Howrah follows in second place with a pass percentage of 93.84%,
- North 24 Parganas ranks third at 93.71%.

- South 24 Parganas is in fifth position with 93.11%.

- Birbhum recorded a pass rate of 90.19%, followed by Murshidabad at 89.94%, Kalimpong at 89.51%, North Dinajpur at 89.29%, and South Dinajpur at 89.24%.
- East Burdwan stands at 88.87%, Malda at 88.70%, Cooch Behar at 88.48%, Bankura at 87.91%, and Alipurduar at 87.67%. West Burdwan recorded 87.28%, while Jalpaiguri reported 86.72%.
- Science stream clocked 99.19% as confirmed by the board.
- Commerce students also posted a strong performance, recording a pass percentage of 93.67 per cent. Out of 37,671 candidates who appeared, 35,285 passed the examination.
- The Arts stream registered the lowest pass percentage among the three major categories at 89.19 per cent. A total of 4,77,299 Arts students appeared for the examination, out of which 425,687 passed.
- The overall pass percentage in the WBCHSE Higher Secondary Examination 2026 stood at 91.23 percent.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has announced the HS Result 2026 with an overall pass percentage of 91.2 per cent.
- A total of 571,355 students cleared the higher secondary examinations this year.
- Candidates’ photographs will now appear on the marksheets for identification and verification purposes.
- According to the merit list released by the board, 64 students — including 56 boys and 8 girls — secured positions in the top 10 ranks.
- Four candidates from Kolkata featured in the top 10 this year.
- Adrita Paul from Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission secured the first rank by scoring 496 out of 500 marks, recording 99.2 percent in the examinations.

Five students have jointly secured the third rank in the WBCHSE West Bengal HS Result 2026 merit list.
