Who Is Eligible to Attend the Counselling?

Only candidates whose names appear in the shortlist can attend. The list is drawn from those who appeared in NIMCET 2026. Applicants must have also applied to the University of Hyderabad for MCA. Selection follows the merit order of NIMCET scores.

Eligibility for the MCA programme requires a bachelor's degree in any stream. Candidates need a minimum aggregate of 60 percent in the qualifying degree. A valid NIMCET 2026 score card is mandatory at counselling.

  • Visit the academic portal at acad.uohyd.ac.in.
  • Click on the notice titled MCA Admissions 2026 Counselling List.
  • Open the PDF file named 26CLMCCA.PDF.
  • Search for your NIMCET application number in the list.
  • Download the PDF and keep a printout for counselling day.

What Documents to Carry for the In-Person Counselling?

Candidates must report at the UoH campus on August 12, 2026. They must carry all original documents and one set of self-attested copies. The following documents are generally required for PG admission at UoH:

  • NIMCET 2026 admit card and score card
  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and pass certificates
  • Bachelor's degree mark sheets of all semesters
  • Provisional or final degree certificate
  • Category certificate for SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwD candidates
  • Transfer certificate and migration certificate from the previous institution
  • Valid government-issued photo identity proof
  • Recent passport-size photographs

Detailed rules are in the PG admission instructions booklet on the same portal. Candidates should read the booklet fully before reporting for counselling.

Why This Matters

The University of Hyderabad is a central university and not a NIT. Yet it accepts only NIMCET scores for its MCA seats. Missing the counselling on August 12 means losing the seat this cycle.

Action Plan for Candidates

  • Download the shortlist PDF from acad.uohyd.ac.in and confirm your name.
  • Arrange original certificates plus one set of self-attested photocopies.
  • Read the PG admission instructions booklet on the official portal.
  • Plan travel to the University of Hyderabad campus well in advance.
  • Report at the counselling venue on August 12, 2026 with documents.
