The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE) 2026. This decision has been taken to give more students a fair chance to apply and to encourage wider participation, especially after the addition of new exam cities. NIFTEE is conducted for admission to design and fashion-related programs at NIFT campuses across India.

As per the latest public notice dated December 30, 2025, candidates can now submit the online application form for Stage 1 of NIFTEE 2026 without a late fee till January 13, 2026 (Tuesday). Students who miss this deadline will still get an opportunity to apply by paying a late fee of ₹5,000, from January 14 to January 16, 2026 (in addition to the regular application fee).

Who Can Apply for NIFTEE 2026

Candidates who meet the NIFTEE 2026 Eligibility criteria prescribed by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) can apply. Applicants must have passed or be appearing in the qualifying examination as mentioned in the official NIFTEE 2026 Information Bulletin. The eligibility conditions, age limit, and academic requirements remain unchanged as per earlier public notices.

Candidates are required to pay the prescribed application fee while submitting the form online.

  • Applicants applying after the regular deadline must pay an additional late fee of ₹5,000, over and above the application fee.
