INI SS July 2026 Counselling Schedule Out; Check Round 1 Choice Filling Last Date

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has released the INI SS July 2026 counselling schedule. INI SS stands for Institute of National Importance Super Speciality entrance. The notification is live on the official portal at aiimsexams.ac.in.

Round 1 choice filling has opened from June 13 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their preferences till June 19 2026. The window will close at 5 PM on that day.

The counselling will run in two rounds for DM and MCh seats. The complete round-wise schedule is given below.

INI SS Participating Institutes for July 2026

The INI SS exam is the entry test for DM and MCh super-speciality seats. The institutes participating in this session are listed below.

• All AIIMS campuses including AIIMS New Delhi
• Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh
• Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry
• National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) Bengaluru
• Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) Thiruvananthapuram

Who Is Eligible for INI SS July 2026 Counselling?

Only candidates named in Result Notifications 186/2026 and 187/2026 can participate. AIIMS issued both notifications on June 2 2026. The list covers candidates qualified for online seat allocation in this session.

Eligible candidates must log in using their INI SS application credentials. The choice filling link will appear on their My Page section.

How to Submit Choices for INI SS July 2026 Round 1?

Candidates can fill an unlimited number of seat choices in Round 1. Each choice combines an institute and a super-speciality course. Preferences can be reordered any number of times before the deadline.

Follow these steps to lock in your Round 1 choices.

1. Visit the official portal at aiimsexams.ac.in and log in.
2. Open the My Page section after signing in.
3. Click on the INI SS July 2026 counselling link displayed there.
4. Add institute and specialty choices in order of preference.
5. Reorder choices as needed and save them before 5 PM on June 19 2026.

Security Deposit and Penalty Rules

Allocated candidates must deposit Rs 3 lakh at the time of reporting. They may instead submit their original certificates at the reporting institute. This step is mandatory to confirm the allotted seat.

Round 1 candidates upgraded to a Round 2 seat must join it. Failure to join leads to a Rs 3 lakh penalty. The original Round 1 seat will also stand cancelled in such cases.

Age Limit by Participating Institute

Upper age limits differ across INI SS July 2026 institutes. The cutoff is calculated as on July 1 2026. Institute-wise limits for the General category are given below.

1. Check eligibility under Notifications 186/2026 and 187/2026 on the AIIMS portal.
2. Log in to your INI SS account and open My Page.
3. Add institute and specialty preferences in your true order of choice.
4. Save and lock your choices before 5 PM on June 19 2026.
5. Arrange Rs 3 lakh security deposit or original certificates for reporting.
