IIT Gandhinagar and Deakin University Sign MoU to Promote Joint Research; Check Details Here

New Delhi: IIT Gandhinagar and Deakin University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote academic collaboration and joint research. 

According to a press release by IITGN, the MoU was signed by Prof Iain Martin, Vice Chancellor, Deakin University, and Prof Rajat Moona, Director, IITGN, in the presence of Jason Clare MP, Minister for Education, Government of Australia, and Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Aim of the IIT Gandhinagar and Deakin University MoU

The partnership aims to bring the students, research fellows and faculty of both institutions on a common ground. It will help them to foster joint research in areas of common interest. The collaboration acquires additional strength and scope for success due to the strategic presence of Deakin University in Gandhinagar with the establishment of its GIFT City Campus. 

A highlight of the MoU is to foster innovation and excellence in research outcomes through a multi-pronged strategy involving – joint doctoral programs, exploring bilateral funding opportunities and knowledge exchange through joint grant proposals, conference, and workshops. This extends to general academic collaborations including the exchange of educational resource materials and publications that are of mutual interest to both institutions.

Views of Faculty on the MoU
