Bharathidasan University Tiruchirappalli is accepting applications for postgraduate programmes 2026-2027 till May 11, 2026. Eligible candidates must complete 12 years of schooling and 3-year undergraduate degree.

Bharathidasan University (BDU), Tiruchirappalli has opened online admissions for 41 postgraduate programmes for the 2026-2027 academic year. Interested candidates can register and apply exclusively through the official admission portal at oms.bdu.ac.in.
The last date for submitting applications for 2-year PG programmes is May 11, 2026, while applications for BCA, B.Voc., and integrated programmes will close 15 days after the publication of +2 results (HSC - TN State Board or CBSE, whichever is later).
Bharathidasan University invites applications from graduates and final-year undergraduate students for diverse postgraduate courses spanning arts, sciences, technology, and professional disciplines.
The admission process is entirely online, requiring candidates to register, complete the application form, upload required documents, and pay the admission processing fee through net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI. Admission is strictly based on the Tamil Nadu government's reservation policy, with merit selection from marks obtained up to the 5th semester (or 2nd year for non-semester programmes) for undergraduate applicants.

Candidates applying for postgraduate programmes must have completed 12 years of schooling (10+2) and a 3-year undergraduate degree.
However, final-year undergraduate students can apply with marks obtained up to the 5th semester (or 2nd year for non-semester programmes), with provisional admission confirmed only upon successful completion of their undergraduate degree.
Applicants must possess a valid email address and mobile number for receiving admission-related communications.
Each applicant must upload a recent passport-size colour photograph (not older than 6 months), self-attested consolidated mark statements or all semester mark statements as a single PDF file, and a digital copy of the community certificate (online-generated document from the Tamil Nadu government website, not a scanned copy).
Online Application Process & Payment Options
- The admission process is completely online through the official portal at oms.bdu.ac.in/admissions.
- Candidates must first register as new users, then log in to complete the application form, upload required documents, and submit the form.
- After submission, applicants must pay the admission processing fee of ₹250 for SC/ST/SC-A candidates and ₹500 for all others through any of three payment modes: net banking, debit/credit card, or Unified Payment Interface (UPI).
- Applicants applying for multiple programmes must submit separate applications and pay the processing fee for each programme individually.
- The university advises candidates to wait for server confirmation after payment submission and avoid pressing the "Back" or "Refresh" buttons to prevent payment failures or duplicate charges.
Document Verification
Applicants must fill all mandatory fields accurately and verify information before submission, as misrepresentation or incorrect details will result in application rejection at any stage.
The photograph must be in JPG format only, measuring 4.5cm × 3.5cm physically with a digital size between 4KB to 50KB; selfies and blurred images are not acceptable.
Mark statements can include up to 5 semesters if awaiting final semester results, or screenshots of examination results published on college websites.
Transfer certificates, date of birth proof (birth certificate or SSLC mark statement), and certificates for otherwise-abled or special category candidates (ex-serviceman, sports persons) should be submitted during the time of admission or emailed to the respective department if requested.

Only candidates shortlisted by respective departments will be invited for the selection process, which may include entrance examinations or interviews, depending on the programme. Selection process details and entrance examination information will be communicated by individual departments.

Students with disabilities are exempted from tuition fees upon presentation of a disability certificate, and SC/ST/SC-A students may be eligible for fee waivers under Tamil Nadu government schemes; eligible students must register through the UMIS Portal (umis.tn.gov.in) to claim fee reimbursements.
