I really enjoy going to college, we have got the best teachers for us to guide not only in academics but also in life. They not only provide us with book knowledge but also help us to learn extra things out of syllabus which is more important in present scenario. Especially HOD of journalism department she is the gem ???? we of our class people love her and her love and concern towards us. And the other guest lecturers and facilities or really great when it comes to reaching and thair experience in the field of journalism is really great. Overall i would strongly recommend girls who want to pursue journalism can really join our college. You would never regret your decision.

Faculty

Overall there are 6 teachers in the department where 3 teachers are given for 5 students (total strength) where they clearly complete their portions with the practicals and give us revision for all the lectures. They also make sure we have understood evey part of the syllabus and give us an outline about the subjects and the opportunities we get outside the world using that. They also teach and make us learn extra things.

Faculty

The faculty members were quite approachable and friendly. Their was a particular Guest lecturer with whom every classmates relationship was good.Although later on it became different with coming on a new professor who was not quite approachable at all.Adding to that the exams were not that tough it was okay only.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have pursued Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication. The year wise fees was below 10k and their was no exemption for categories or any as such it was equal for all. As I myself was an EWS candidate but I did paid equal like my other classmates.

Faculty

Most of the faculties are really good in terms of understanding and teaching. There way of taking and teaching skill was really good. But some faculties behaviour and personality in terms of teaching was annoying and rude. Specially Reena ma'am,Ajay sir

Course Curriculum Overview

Sometimes it's looking at extras offered such as vedio and audio support. Faculties are just depending on text structure. They needs to improve in knowledge and guide part. Video and audio support was very essential in this days with this generation.

Faculty

In our department, the faculty were around 8-10 people who kinda went around in rounds. Our class was a class full of 60 people. I liked Sanju ma'am, Mahesh sir as they have never once been partial to anyone. I don't like Jesus sir and Bhargavi ma'am as they've always been partial.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee for the first year including registration and everything was 1,75,000. Apart from this, we were asked to pay for exams, events, etc. The total fee for the second year of the program ended up at 1,50,000 exclusive of exam fee, event fee, etc.

There is the events like Aarush, Milan that go on for days. They are typically held in the mid sem of each year. The university also celebrates holi, pongal etc. The university is quite famous for bringing guests that are big celebrities. There is a huge library that contains alot of books, the library is usually occupied by the students. Some classrooms have projectors and some have a big screen led in which we are taught. These classrooms are equipped with camera. There are clubs like young journalist association and film club etc in the department which add some kind of credit to the academics too.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Curriculum includes both internship and dissertation in the final semester which lets the student have some kind of experience before leaving college. Subjects like data journalism are quite relevant and documentary making, editing techniques are there which gave a proper understanding of how things work in the field. Practical papers are quite difficult but exams are not as we already write three exams (CT1, CT2, Model exam) before going to the semester exams. So it's always like we know everything before the semesters.

The college is quite greedy when it comes to their fest Alegria. Except for that fest, the college did not promote department fests. Especially, in the year 2023, they basically dissolved all department fests as part of Alegria. The library is stacked with academic books. While most classrooms have good amenities, the college did not try to provide for the students of each. The teachers did their best to provide a good learning experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course to get a better understanding of the mass media field. Given that it was the first batch of the course, there were about 20 students in the class. Except for a few in-house faculty, other teachers were professionals from the field. Two examinations took place in the year. The exams did not seem difficult.

It's a growing institution. The library has a lot of e-books and physical books as well but you can't get every prescribed course of your book there. The facilities are top quality. In every classroom, there are four fans and lights, and two ACs. An annual fest named Spandan is organized every year in February. Every festival is celebrated at the University. There are various activities going on on daily basis by different departments. Sports complex doesn't have any good facilities. Different clubs like drama club, dance club etc. are also starting.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always wanted to study journalism so I chose this course. The course curriculum is very easy. There are 7 teachers and 30 seats in the M.A. course. There are currently 8 seats in pH.D. The teachers are very experienced in academics as well as in the field. They have great contacts and organize different educational seminars and workshops now and then. Teachers are always there to help. They are very supportive. There are two sessional exams in each term and assignments. Exams are easy to pass if you study with a focus in class.
