PIM BBA+MBA HRM FAQs
Ques. Is there any entrance exam required for admission to the BBA+MBA (HRM) integrated program at Parul Institute of Management?
Ans. No entrance exam is mandatory for this program. Admission is entirely merit-based, meaning your Class 12 board marks are the primary criterion for securing a seat. You simply need to apply online through the Parul University admissions portal, pay the Rs. 1,000 registration fee, and a provisional admission letter is issued based on your academic record. While CMAT or MAT scores are accepted, they are not compulsory and do not replace the merit-based process.
Ques. What is the difference between doing BBA and MBA separately versus the integrated BBA+MBA (HRM) program at PIM?
Ans. The integrated program saves you one year of study time. Normally, a BBA takes 3 years and an MBA takes 2 years, totalling 5 years with a gap year in between for entrance exam preparation. The integrated program completes both in exactly 5 years with a seamless curriculum transition, and you receive both degrees. Additionally, the integrated fee structure is often more economical than paying separately for two programs. The HRM specialisation is built progressively, starting with organisational behaviour and HR basics in the BBA phase and advancing to HR analytics, labour laws, and strategic workforce management in the MBA phase.
Ques. What kind of HR-specific subjects and skills does this program cover?
Ans. In the BBA phase, students study foundational subjects like organisational behaviour, business communication, and basic HR practices. As they transition into the MBA phase, the curriculum deepens into talent acquisition strategies, performance management systems, labour and employment laws, HR analytics, compensation and benefits management, and strategic human resource planning. The program also includes live projects, case studies, and a mandatory Summer Internship Program in Semester 3 of the MBA phase, giving students real-world HR exposure before final placements.
Ques. What are the hostel facilities like at Parul University, and is it mandatory to stay on campus?
Ans. Hostel accommodation is optional and not mandatory for this program. Parul University offers multiple hostel options with varying room types (single, double, shared) and amenities. The base hostel fee starts at approximately Rs. 79,000 per annum, with higher-end options available at additional cost. Meal plans may or may not be included depending on the hostel chosen. Students from outside Vadodara often prefer on-campus accommodation given the large campus size. The university's hostel portal allows students to select their preferred accommodation at the time of admission.
Ques. What are the career prospects and typical roles after completing BBA+MBA (HRM) from Parul Institute of Management?
Ans. Graduates of this program typically pursue roles such as HR Executive, Talent Acquisition Specialist, HR Business Partner, Training and Development Manager, Compensation and Benefits Analyst, and HR Operations Manager. The university's Career Development Center facilitates campus placements, and the 2026 placement season saw 3,500+ offers across all programs with companies like TCS, Deloitte, DTDC, HDFC, Zomato, Accenture, and others recruiting from the management faculty. Average packages for management graduates from Parul University range from 4 to 6 LPA, with higher packages for top performers.
Ques. Can students from outside Gujarat apply for this program, and are there any special scholarships for out-of-state students?
Ans. Yes, students from any state in India can apply for this program. Parul University actively encourages out-of-state enrolment and has a specific scholarship scheme for students from North and North-East India. Students from states like J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Chandigarh are eligible for a 25% scholarship on total fees per year. Students from North-East states (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Sikkim) are eligible for merit-linked scholarships ranging from Rs. 10,000 flat to 50% of first-year tuition, depending on their Class 12 percentage. Female students from Leh and Ladakh can avail a special scheme where they pay only Rs. 25,000 per year in tuition.
