DCSMAT BBA FAQs
Ques. How do I choose between BBA (Banking), BBA (Marketing and Finance), and BBA (International Business) at DCSMAT Vagamon?
Ans. All three specialisations carry the same fee of INR 64,800 and follow the same admission process. BBA (Banking) focuses on banking operations, credit management, and retail financial services. BBA (Marketing and Finance) blends brand management with financial analysis. BBA (International Business) covers export-import procedures, global business strategy, and cross-cultural management. Choose based on your target sector: banking, domestic marketing, or global trade.
Ques. Is the mandatory internship during BBA at DCSMAT Vagamon paid, and how is it arranged?
Ans. The internship is embedded in the BBA curriculum at DCSMAT Vagamon and students are placed with industry partners through the college placement cell. Whether individual internships are paid depends on the employer. Contact the DCSMAT placement office at dcschool.net for details on partner companies and internship stipends for your chosen specialisation.
Ques. What is the minimum Plus Two percentage needed to get admission into BBA at DCSMAT Vagamon?
Ans. For BBA (Computer Applications), a minimum of 45 percent aggregate in Plus Two is required. For all other BBA specialisations at DCSMAT Vagamon, no minimum percentage is prescribed for general category applicants. Selection is purely merit-based on Plus Two marks. SC, ST, SEBC, and OEC category students are eligible for relaxations as per Mahatma Gandhi University norms.
Ques. Is BBA (Computer Applications) at DCSMAT similar to BCA? Which is better for an IT career?
Ans. BBA (Computer Applications) combines business management subjects with computing fundamentals such as database management and programming basics. It is not a substitute for BCA, which is a dedicated computer science programme. BBA (Computer Applications) is better suited for roles in IT-enabled services, ERP coordination, business analytics, and operations rather than pure software development. Choose BCA if coding and software engineering is the goal.
Ques. Can BBA graduates from DCSMAT Vagamon pursue MBA from top colleges after graduation?
Ans. Yes. BBA graduates from DCSMAT Vagamon are eligible to appear for CAT, MAT, XAT, and other MBA entrance exams after completing the three-year programme. Admission to top MBA colleges depends on entrance exam scores, GD, and PI performance rather than the undergraduate college. DCSMAT’s affiliation to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, ensures degree recognition across all national universities and MBA institutions.
Ques. Is staying in the DCSMAT Vagamon hostel compulsory for BBA students?
Ans. DCSMAT Vagamon is a fully residential institution and most students reside on the 32-acre campus. Hostel and dining charges are billed separately from the BBA tuition fee of INR 60,480 to INR 64,800. Students seeking day-scholar status should confirm with the admissions office at dcschool.net, as the campus location in the Western Ghats makes daily commuting difficult for most students.
