APSCE BE FAQs

Ques. Does KCET cut-off rank vary across BE branches at APSCE, and which branch closes at the highest rank?

Ans. Yes, KCET cut-off ranks differ by branch each year. Computer Science and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at APSCE typically close at lower rank numbers (higher demand), while Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering close at higher rank numbers. Check the KEA website for the latest round-wise allotment history for precise branch-wise closing ranks.

Ques. Can students from outside Karnataka apply for BE at APSCE through COMEDK UGET?

Ans. Yes. KCET government-quota seats require Karnataka domicile, but management-quota seats are open to all-India candidates through COMEDK UGET. Out-of-state students should register for COMEDK UGET, participate in COMEDK counselling, and use APSCE COMEDK code E011 while filling institutional preferences.

Ques. Does APSCE offer lateral entry into BE second year for diploma holders?

Ans. VTU-affiliated colleges including APSCE admit diploma holders to BE second year through the Karnataka DCET lateral-entry route. Seats are subject to AICTE approval and VTU norms. Candidates should confirm lateral-entry seat availability in their preferred branch with the APSCE admissions office before applying.

Ques. What documents are needed for reporting at APSCE after seat allotment?

Ans. Students must carry original 10th and 12th marksheets, KCET or COMEDK scorecard, caste and domicile certificates (if applicable), recent photographs, and a valid photo ID. Verified photocopies of all documents are also required. Exact checklist is communicated by APSCE at the time of reporting.

Ques. Are hostel facilities available at APSCE for outstation students?

Ans. APSCE provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Hostel and mess charges are billed separately from the course fee and are not included in the tuition amounts listed.
