IEM Kolkata (IEM Saltlake) Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

I studied electronics and telecommunication in diploma. Diploma was of 3 years. After that i studied b.tech in electronics and communication . This course was of 3 years. In modern days electronics and communication plays very important role both in domestic and industrisl purpose. Now im working as an electronics engineer in industrial purpose.

Placements are generally good in this college. Majority of the students gets placed just after the sixth semester in reputed companies with good packages and ofcourse better than many colleges of west bengal and out. Average package for CSE ECE and IT stream is nearly about 6 lakhs apart from this highest package for this year is being offered by AMAZON that is of 68 LPA secured by 4 students and rest 80% of the students got placed and the placements will continue to eigth semester until 100% or more than 95% students get placed. Students also gets a perk if they pursue their Mtech degree from here after B tech or pursue MBA from this college.

The placement of our campus is mid. Before entering the college their will be a lot of myth and the placements will be more glorified. But overall it's average. A lot of students recieve package above 50 lakhs but those are mostly gained off campus. On campus placements vary from 5 to 8 lakhs per annum.

Placement to Job related to software developments or any other computer based engineering is very high but for core branches the placement rate is low but employability is high. As after Btech many chose to do MBA or mtech and get high paid jobs after the colllege. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, etc. reaches to IEM for taking students. Last year 87% got placed in overall branches which is better than other colleges at this rate. My plan after getting degree is to further study and get high paid jobs in other big companies.

Placement cell is quite hardworking, they try their best to call companies. For the current year a list of almost 30 companies has visited and among which 5 are mass recruiters. hence the average package leads to 6 lakhs, and hence the ROI of my year is 0 to a max students.

The placement scenario of this institute is also very descent as compared to other private institutes and also the students becomes eligible from semester 6 for placements, more generally , from third year they become eligible for sitting in placements. Companies like IBM, ORACLE, JUSPAY are the ones who provide very descent packages of around 8-9 lpa and then comes mass recruiters like ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, COGNIZENT, TCS offering an average of 5-6 lpa. Around 90 percent students got placements and they also appear for more than onne or two companies and also appear for higher studies.

From your 3nd year , you can get opportunities for grab placements I thinks more than 250 companies visit here and give various types of packages Tcs wipro cognizant infosys oracal and many more And they offer a good packages Example---- Oracal give 19 lakh Tcs give 11 lakh 9 lakh 7.5 lakh and 3.5 lakh 80+% students secure placements through the campus recruitment process I don't know what i can do in future but i want to grab a job with a good package

IEM offers in campus placements. They have a very good record of placements with nearly all its graduates getting placed and the have been doing it consistently since the turn of the century. Students are eligible to be placed from the 6th semester. The average package is 6-7 LPA.

The iem provided best placement and internship in Kolkata companies like Deloitte,oracle, Amazon,Adobe,TCS, Infosys, Accenture comes in our college every year the average CTC of iem is 8lpa many students got their package of campus more than 20 lakhs

The placement of my college is very best 90% students got their placement in different IT companies like TCS, infosys, Wipro, Accenture, lnt mindtree, Amazon, oracle and many more many students got more than 3 jobs opportunity
