Ques. What is the total fee for DM (Clinical Pharmacology) at PGIMER Chandigarh?
Ans. The total fee for DM (Clinical Pharmacology) at PGIMER Chandigarh is Rs 10,110 for the three-year programme (Rs 3,370 per year). In addition, all DM residents receive a monthly stipend of Rs 95,000 to Rs 1,10,000 as per 7th CPC norms. Hostel accommodation is available on campus; hostel charges are payable separately.
Ques. What are the eligibility criteria for DM (Clinical Pharmacology) at PGIMER?
Ans. Candidates must hold MD Pharmacology from an NMC-recognised institution, with a minimum aggregate of 55 percent (50 percent for SC/ST). They must qualify INI SS Stage I and appear for PGIMER’s Stage II clinical assessment. Foreign nationals are not eligible for DM programmes at PGIMER.
Ques. How is admission to DM (Clinical Pharmacology) at PGIMER done?
Ans. Admission is through the INI SS exam conducted twice a year (January and July sessions). For July 2026, Stage I was held on 25 April 2026 and results were declared on 6 May 2026. Shortlisted candidates appear for Stage II (PGIMER clinical assessment), followed by centralised counselling conducted by AIIMS New Delhi.

Ans. No, there is no upper age limit for DM/M.Ch admissions at PGIMER Chandigarh. Candidates must hold an MD/MS/DNB degree in the relevant specialty and qualify INI SS. In-service and sponsored candidates are also eligible, subject to a no-objection certificate from their employer.
