Ans. Yes, KIET Ghaziabad is no doubt excellent for CS. On top of studying at an affordable fee, you will get excellent placement and internship offers. In 2023, the placement percentage was considerably high at 89.78%. The highest package was around INR 48.89 LPA and the average package was INR 6.86 LPA. Many of my seniors got placed in good companies, some qualified GATE and some of them even were winners in Hackathon and other competitions. Read more

Ans. According to my experience as a former CSE student at KIET, choosing KIET over JSS Noida will be no doubt a good choice. You’ll also get the best infrastructure and faculty in the CSE branch.  There are considerably more opportunities here to do something unique in your field. I have seen my seniors getting placed at reputed companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Adobe, Accenture, and Infosys, to name just a few. Just last year, i.e. 2023, the highest package that they secured was INR 48.89 LPA. Moreover, about 93.98% of my seniors were successfully placed. Read more

Ques. How do I get BTech admission in KIET Ghaziabad?

Ans. The eligibility criteria is the same for all the branches of BTech in KIET. You just need to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and at least 45% of marks in aggregate. For SC/ST candidates, a 5% relaxation in marks will be applicable. Additionally, you will also need a valid JEE-Main score. UPTAC registration and counselling for BTech admission will begin from July. 85% of the total seats will be filled via JEE-Main. For direct admission, you can simply go to their website and fill up their online application form. You will be called for a written exam and an in-person interview when the candidate is shortlisted by the institute based on their PCM merit at the 10+2 level. After passing both the written exam and the interview, you will get the admission offer.Read more

Ques. Are the placements for the ECE branch better in ABES Engineering College than KIET?

Ans. Before giving you my opinion, let’s look at some statistics. India Today Engineering ranks KIET Ghaziabad at 148 out of 238, whereas NIRF Engineering ranks ABES Ghaziabad at 251-300 out of 300. KIET is one of the top engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh. They have excellent professors who are distinguished PhD holders from reputed institutes.  The total cost for the 4-year BTech ECE course in KIET is INR 5.56 Lakhs. The placements of the ECE branch are also quite good. The overall placement percentage for 2023 is 90.95%. The average CTC is INR 5.10 LPA and the highest CTC is INR 18.15 LPA. You’ll have amazing internship opportunities as well.  According to me, BTech ECE at KIET will be a good option if you want affordability as well as quality education.Read more

Ans. JSS Noida is the best option, among these. It offers excellent placement opportunities. According to the recent highlights of JSS placements, around 80% of students from the CS department get placed each year. The average CTC received by the student of the branch is around INR 10 LPA. Ans. Among all the mentioned colleges, MMM Gorakhpur is the best. JSS Noida is a private college and all the other three colleges are government colleges. So, choosing a private UPTU college over a government college does not make sense.  Now, when you make a comparison between the other three government colleges i.e. BIET Jhansi, KNIT Sultanpur and MMM Gorakhpur, MMM Gorakhpur steals the show.  It is highly recommended because of the following reasons: Highly experienced faculty members Good and proper facilities The beautiful campus which is spread over 360 acres. Alumni of MMM Gorakhpur are in India as well as in other countries working at prestigious positions. The institution has been given the status of a university from a college and there are proposals for it to be promoted to an NIT or an IIT. It can be said that MMM Gorakhpur has a bright future. Ans. JSS Academy of Technical Education is better for a B.Tech. It has a good reputation among UPTU affiliated colleges. The campus is surrounded by IT companies, so you will get good exposure.  JSS Noida placements have been impressive over the years. The placement rate is around 70%. Companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys, Cognizant, etc. visit the campus drive. The average CTC stays around INR 5 LPA.Read more

Ques. What should I choose, IT in BIET Jhansi or CS in JSS Noida?

Ans. BIET Jhansi is a government college whereas JSS Noida is a private college. I have heard a lot about JSS Noida as my brother graduated from this college last year. JSS being a private college charges a higher amount than BIET. Both of the colleges are good enough to take admission but let’s compare it with a few factors. The infrastructure of BIET isn’t up to the mark whereas JSS Noida is well-maintained and has a beautiful campus that includes greenery as well. The hostel services and the premises of BIET are cheaper and aren’t well-furnished. As Jhansi is in Bundelkhand and it is a small city, BIET doesn’t provide good facilities because of its location. On the contrary, the students of JSS Noida have the access to prepare for any other competitive exams like CAT, UPSC, GATE, CSE, ESE, GMAT/GRE and many more. Noida is near Ghaziabad, which is the NCT of Delhi and many coaching institutes run in Ghaziabad. This fortunate opportunity isn’t available for the students of Jhansi. Categories IT at BIET Jhansi CS at JSS Noida Course Fee 2.89 lakh 2.20 lakh Highest CTC 12 LPA 8-10 LPA Average CTC 4.5 - 6 LPA 4 LPA Recruiting Companies TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, etc. Amazon, Wipro, TCS, Hexaware, etc. Moreover, the facilities of JSS Noida are better than BIET Jhansi. Ques. Which college should I choose for CSE, IET Lucknow or JSS Noida? The fees are not an issue. Focus on environment, campus, hostel and what is taught in CSE.

Ans. I can give you some information on both institutes since I have friends from both IET Lucknow and JSS Noida. Based on the reviews that I got from my friends I will say choosing JSS Noida will be better. It has a locational advantage, which plays a crucial role. The curriculum of JSS Noida is in accordance with the current industry trends. In the first two semesters, you will learn the same courses as any other engineering institutes in India. You can get the detailed syllabus from the website. JSS has a good reputation in the industry. Alumni of the institute are working on Google, Microsoft, etc. Many reputed companies visit the campus for the placement drive including IBM, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, etc. For IET, the location is an issue. The faculty and curriculum are not that great either. So, I will suggest you choose JSS Noida.Read more
