Close to home. I didn't have to move out of my hometown. However, the rent near UBC is too high. Also, since I live far away transmitting each day takes around 3 hours. It's a beautiful college though.

I wanted to live on my own, the city of Vancouver is fantastic and the University of British Columbia, especially the faculty of Applied Science (where I was planning to study) was ranked highly in multiple ranking metrics.

I wanted to stay within British Columbia and felt that UBC was one of the best schools in the province for my desired program. The campus is also beautiful and surrounded by the city, mountains, beaches, and forests.

It is close to where I live and a few of my older friends recommended this program at this college in particular. PharmD allows you to graduate from a 4-year program with a doctorate. Many people complete their undergraduate studies in 2 years and move directly onto PharmD for another 4 years for a grand total of 6 years.
