The Department is committed to excellence in student preparation, engaging in significant research to expand knowledge of public affairs, and bringing this knowledge to public sector and non-profit leaders and workers within our service region.
We offer a Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree, and an undergraduate concentration in public administration as part of a Bachelor Degree (BA) in political science. The MPA degree can be earned entirely online or through a combination of online and on-campus classes at UNCP.
We emphasize quality teaching within our programs, striving to produce well-prepared graduates for the public, non-profit, and private sectors. Each faculty member actively engages in scholarship and professional service, bringing both their knowledge and experience into the classroom.
