While Biology majors will meet all of the requisites for nursing school, the Pre-health Professions Adviser can assist students pursuing other majors with an academic plan to fulfill the requisites for nursing school.
Students in the automatic acceptance program earn a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Mary?s and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UTHSCSA. Students take pre-health courses in addition to the Bachelor of Arts in Biology degree plan ? please see the Pre-health Professions Adviser for details.
Students in the automatic acceptance program may choose from two options at UTHSCSA: the accelerated program, which lasts 15 months, or the traditional program, which lasts two years.
