In general, healthcare managers plan, direct, or coordinate medicine and health services in hospitals, clinics, managed care organizations, public health agencies, or similar organizations.

Students who graduate from the Clinical Leadership and Management program are marketable in management positions of healthcare enterprises, able to assume greater responsibilities at their current jobs, more qualified for job promotions within their facility and may continue their studies at a graduate level. The CLM program provides for a more educated allied health care professional workforce for Kentucky communities (and beyond) and their patients, in turn, will be better served.

The curriculum for the Clinical leadership and Management program has been reviewed by the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Nursing Home Administrators and designated as meeting the academic requirements needed to sit for this examination. Those students, who have had the proper experience, do not need to complete an Administrator in Training (AIT) experience as a requirement. For those students that need to complete an AIT, the CLM program offers a practicum course with course credit awarded.
