Course Curriculum

8

  • Quite difficult as it dealt with technical aspects of IT and business altogether, mix of both practice and theory with main focus on industrial approach fostering a better understanding of how things work in reality to make well informed decisions

  • One of the standout positive aspects was the teaching methodology. The professors were highly engaging and often used live examples and case studies to provide in-depth insights into the subject matter, making the learning experience both enriching and practical.

  • About 20% of the total batch strength consisted of Indian students, which added to the diversity and provided an opportunity to connect with peers from similar backgrounds while experiencing a multicultural environment.

Admission Experience

  1. Liverpool university (shortlisted)
  2. Golden gate University (Admitted)
  • I received confirmed admission from Golden gate university with a grade 1 scholarship/student aid.
Yes I received a rejection from the Cambridge university
Cambridge has a pretty low acceptance rate and I think my Ielts score was not upto the mark to quality the bar. They tend to be very picky about international candidates.

  • Golden Gate University shares a 150 year of solid legacy in the American education system, has adept, highly experience faculties with decorated resume in their respective fields. the university has strong industry connections providing students with ideal placement options, the tuition is relatively low at this assortment.

  • Having an IELTS score above 7.0 and great SOP writing abilities can seal your chance to secure a seat in GGU.

the admission process was seamless, you get a dedicated counsellor guiding you through the entire process

  • I applied to Master's in Business Analytics and the admission process was about 20-30 days long.
  1. Applied for the scholarship
  2. Counsellor response after 10 days
  3. Approval of scholarship 3 days after that
  4. Form submission on how would you like your student aid (pre or post) 2 days
  • Received admission letter from the provost of the institution 1 day later
  1. Fees submission procedure and confirmation 7 days
  2. Mail and Identity card allotment 4 days later
  3. Orientation 1 day after that.
  4. Mine took 28 days.

Faculty

10

  • 1-10 faculty to student ratio is how things work in the united states, yet they don't compromise with the quality, they focus on detailed and were industry experts per se.
  • Theory+practice pedagogical approach carried by teachers absorbed the students from the get go and instills confidences with each lecture. plus they make the class as interactive as they can.which i think not only enriches the curriculum but also bridges the gap between academic learning and professional application.
  • The professors go the extra mile to make the classes encouraging discussions, collaborative activities, and active participation, which creates a highly engaging and supportive learning environment.

Campus Life

10

  • Currently GGU operates from one location only and that's San Francisco, it does not have any other branches or campuses that i know of.

  • The college has a state of the art library, one big canteen, there's no dedicated area for sports and all but yeah there's big chunks of free spaces where students often play futsal and badminton.

  • There are various clubs such as literary club, acting club, singing club etc. offering students opportunities to connect, collaborate, and pursue their interests beyond the classroom.

Part Time Jobs

  • I would not know about all this, but the pay scale is good as i have heard.
  • About on-campus jobs, i guess there no facility as such. i don't know if they had something like that.
  • Hourly wages is typic wage pattern in the united states, is 35-40 USD students can look for jobs in flower shops, cafes, walmart, gas stations etc to cover for their tuition or earn some extra bucks for the fun budget. it is moderately difficult to find a job nearby. if you have good spoken skills you can get by easily though. it is basically a walk in process, you need to put aside your pride and ask

Placement

10

  • You could say a roughly 70-80% of my batch bagged a position in good companies within 6 months, and it completely depends on the student and the drive they have to make it happen
  • In terms of compensation, the average starting salary in India hovered around 8 LPA, though I’m not entirely familiar with the employment rates or salary figures for those pursuing opportunities overseas.
  • The placement process offered two main routes, participating in campus recruitment drives or leveraging platforms like LinkedIn to connect with potential employers directly.
  • For my batch, the journey was relatively smooth, as everyone was proactive and determined, making it easier for us to land jobs without much hassle.
  • the university has placement ties with leading companies such as Cisco, Apple, Amazon, Google, Hathaway, Accenture, and others

Accommodation

Off Campus
6

  • I really had to get out and find the accommodation myself, there are various apps one could use to check for rental properties.
  • There are various apps and platforms available to make the process easier, such as Zillow, Realtor.com, and even dedicated local rental sites that can help you explore different properties. For more flexible and immediate solutions, platforms like Airbnb work well, when looking for a cozy and fully furnished place for long-term stays
  • Some places are hard to locate and of course communication barrier was a tough challenge to overcome initially but you get along with the struggle.

Exams

  • Having an ielts certification is an add on yet no hard and fast for applications, you just have write a detailed SOP.

  • Documents required are Statement of purpose ofcourse, all your educational certifications, your address proof, your identity proof, medical insurance if any.

  • Yes be well prepared for the interview, they ask psych eval questions so don't try to deceive just be honest.

Fees

  • Tuition was around 18 Lakhs in total and that's it Charged semester wise, 4.3 Lakhs per semester
  • Rent in California is quite high, 40k rent per month, transit would cost you 15K easy and fooding let's say 20k in the least. monthly expense vary from 70-85k per month all inclusive.
  • It depends on the locality altogether, the downtown i quite expensive while areas far off are feasible for your monthly purse.

Scholarship

  • Yes there are scholarship programs for international students called International graduate scholarships offers upto 70% of tuition fess waiver for 5000 international students each year. Candidates can fill the form online on their official website and stand a chance to benefit from the program.

  • Candidates must know how to write a structured SOP and articulate their thoughts
