What Students Say
Likes
- Its proximity to home and I liked my previous experience in my first degree.
My overall experience at ODU was pretty positive. I felt that amenities were overpriced, but there were some great places to go on campus. The majority of my professors were amazing and helpful. I will say that I didn’t appreciate one professor.
Course Curriculum
I thought it was a pretty average syllabus each time I started a new class. I didn't get much research experience unless it was a specific research or writing class.
Faculty
In some courses there were about 7-10 students if it was a topics/elective course. Other times, there would be 30 or more students if permitted.
Campus Life
I did not attend any campus life because I worked full time. I will say that the library was great and I used interlibrary a lot!
Placement
I don't have the best answer for this but from what I have heard from others is that they do a lot for the sciences.
Accommodation
I lived off campus.
Exams
I didn't take my SAT or ACT. I went to community college and took advantage of the guaranteed admissions. I didn't have to submit a CC. I did have to submit an application to the program and since I was a previous student, I didn't have to pay for application fees.
Fees
Total fees each year came to around 10k. I mostly used loans.
