The Mathematics department offers two undergraduate degree programs leading to the Bachelor of Science and to the Bachelor of Arts.
Students interested in graduate study in mathematics, or in the importance of mathematics in the sciences, should pursue the B.S. For others, such as those who also wish to pursue study in a non-quantitative area or who are preparing to teach mathematics at the pre-collegiate level, the B.A. will be more appropriate.
